Latin Through Stories
Latin Through Stories, developed primarily by Dr. Eidt at the University of Dallas, is the only near-immersion, comprehensible input-based curriculum in Latin for elementary age students. Through this program, students acquire Latin joyfully and meaningfully through songs, nursery rhymes, picture talks about beautiful works of art, unique “Little Socratic Talks,” oral mini stories (“Gouin series”), and beautifully illustrated picture books, many of them traditional folktales, as well as prayers, Bible verses, and hymns.

Lauren Frisch
Lauren has been a CGS guide for 7 years, having received full training in L1 & L2. Her passion & love for training the whole child carries over into her Latin Through Stories Class.

FUN-damentals of Math
This class is for grades 6-12 and will meet the needs of the individuals registered for the class.
Concepts that may be covered are:
*Fractions *Equations *Slopes *Writing equations of lines *Simple Probability *Compound probability *Measuring volumes *Metric and Standard conversions *Geometric constructions *Regular polygons *Tessellations *Circles *Proofs involving circles.

Elizabeth Regelado
Elizabeth is the mother of 6 children and has been homeschooling for the past 7 years. She has been a CGS Guide for 3 years and has completed her Level 1 training. She has a major in mathematics and has taught it on and off for 15 years. She is looking forward to the FUN-damentals math class..

PE With a Purpose
Elementary age students will find out in this different kind of PE course specifically geared toward integrating cross lateral movements for brain stimulation for a variety of cognitive functions.
Based on Paul and Gail Dennison’s book, Brain Gym® This class will incorporate FUN active games and physical activities which have borne out positive physical and mental results.
Activities seek to promote large muscle group coordination, depth perception, centering/balance, spatial awareness, increase in alertness and comprehension and right and left brain integration.
Students will be required to wear appropriate clothing (t-shirts & pants/knee-length shorts) for physical activity (bear crawling and crab crawling) and time will be allotted at the beginning and end of the class for changing.
1-3:30 pm
Piano
Beginner to Intermediate level using Alfred’s Basic Piano Library books. Lessons are 30 minutes long.

Odile Gladtz
Odile Glatz, wife, mother of 7, grandmother of 2, she studied piano for 10 years can teach beginner to intermediate level

Suzuki Violin
Individual lessons will primarily use Suzuki philosophy to build a student’s repertoire with ear training and memory work while also learning to read music. 30 minutes.
Group lessons will focus on learning to play as a multi-part ensemble and include games and exercises to continue in music theory and reading music. 30 minutes,

Elena Frisch
Elena is a rising senior and draws from 12 years of musical training, including six years of violin. She loves playing a variety of styles including classical, bluegrass and Celtic fiddle.
